About this Network

Welcome to Table Mountain Watch. This forum was established to primarily act as an early warning system for criminal incidents and hotspots on Table Mountain - South Africa. As mountain users we need to take responsibility for our own safety on Table Mountain. We should share our experiences and knowledge gained, to prevent further occurrences and to keep each other safe. The forum also allows interested individuals to be kept informed of trends, hot spots, types of incidents, suspicious shelters and caves as well as suspects. The network is not intended to sensationalise crime or scare people. We believe that sharing information in an open manner helps develop coherent strategies and holds service providers accountable.
